A bunch of flowers in quilling technique. Takes some time, but looks simply gorgeous!

Materials:

  • White card stock
  • White and off white thick paper
  • Green and red thin paper for quilling
  • A quilling tool (can be a tooth stick)
  • Glue, scissors

Directions:
First cut thin strips of green and red paper (should have same size) and prepare the quilling coils. You’ll need 9 red heart coils for flowers and 11 green marquise coils for leaves, that you can easily make using the tutorial below.

Heart coil: Roll a strip of paper tightly around your tool (slotted tool, needle tool, or toothpick), being sure to deep the paper in alignment as you roll. Remove the tool and allow the roll uncoil to the desired size. Glue the loose end to the coil. With your index finger and thumb, pinch the coil into a point, allowing the opposite side to remain round. Now with your fingernail or a toothpick, indent the center of the round end to form a heart.

Marquise coil: Roll a strip of paper tightly around your tool (slotted tool, needle tool, or toothpick), being sure to deep the paper in alignment as you roll. Remove the tool and allow the roll uncoil to the desired size. Glue the loose end to the coil. Holding the coil between the index finger and thumbs of both hands, pinch the coil into two points, leaving the center of the coil round and loose.

Now cut down 4 stripes of green paper and glue them on the card stock. These will be stalks of flowers.
Now cut down several strips of red paper and prepare a bow. Glue it onto the stalks.
Glue „flowers” and „leaves”.
Print (or you can as well write) the greeting words on the thick white paper.
Cut out an oval.
Now cut out an oval of a bit bigger size from off-white paper. You can cut it using scissors with shaped edges to make it look more exquisite.
Glue both ovals one onto another to the lower right corner.
Done!
